One Music Fest 2024 was Packed with Dynamic Hip-hop and R&B Performances [Review]

The 2024 One Music Fest was a vibrant celebration of talent, with a lineup that promised dynamic performances and delivered in every way. Though Cardi B was set to headline Day One, she couldn’t perform due to an undisclosed injury. Luckily, Atlanta rapper Latto stepped in, captivating the crowd with her signature energy and powerful stage presence. She owned the stage and left fans buzzing about her electrifying set, proving she’s a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Sunday’s lineup was packed with an impressive roster of artists who brought unique flavors to the festival. Around 4 p.m. T.I. came out, kicking the festival energy up a notch with his iconic Southern rap sound. His performance of “Live Your Life” was a highlight, with fans rapping along word for word. T.I. has long been a staple in hip-hop, and his set was a reminder of his influence in the industry. He kept the energy high, blending old hits with new sounds that appealed to both longtime fans and newer audiences.

Rapper Hxncho kicked off his set with a genre-blending style that offered a fresh take on the hip-hop soundscape. His set was dark and intense, filled with heavy beats and lyrical intricacies that kept the crowd entranced. Hxncho’s performance style stood out as he crafted an immersive experience with each track, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

One of the festival’s most anticipated acts was GloRilla, an emerging artist who’s quickly gaining recognition. She took the stage with high energy, performing “Yeah Glo!”, “Tomorrow” and new hits from her new album “Glorious.” Her confidence radiated throughout the crowd, and just when fans thought her set couldn’t get better, she surprised everyone by bringing out T-Pain. The crowd erupted in excitement as he launched into classic hits like “Kiss Kiss,” adding an extra layer of nostalgia and fun to her performance. GloRilla’s natural stage presence, combined with T-Pain’s charm and fun energy, made for one of the most unforgettable moments of the day.

As one of the last acts of the night, Victoria Monét kicked off her set with an enchanting energy that set the perfect mood for the night. Known for her smooth vocals and effortlessly cool style, she delivered fan favorites such as “On My Mama,” “Stop Asking Me for Shyt,” and “Alright” with grace and style, connecting deeply with the audience. Her performance was the ideal blend of soulful energy and danceable beats, making her set a stand-out moment for many in the crowd.  Overall, the 2024 Music Fest was a thrilling blend of established icons and rising stars, each leaving their unique mark on the festival and giving fans a weekend to remember.
