Malia, 16, attends Dekalb School of the Arts. She has always loved reading and the feeling of immersing oneself in a landscape of storytelling. When she writes, it is through the nuance of being not only a scholar, but a human. Through the power of rhetoric she hopes to wield her voice as a utensil of service and invigorate others by shedding light on issues such as teen self-expression in her community.
