VOX Teen Art: “Overwhelmed by Negative Space”

Note from the artist: Everyone struggles with being overwhelmed from time to time, but this piece came from a time in my life when I felt like I was drowning in it. I had really struggled with an anxiety disorder, and I also had a lot of trouble verbalizing it in it’s entirety, the depth and nuances of how I was feeling. This was my attempt at being able to communicate that in a different medium. Everything here is purposeful symbolism, even the colors, textures, and line simplicity.
