Atlanta teens created this music video for Hero the Band at the Green Room music video camp this summer.
Hi, I’m 13-year-old Akayla. My experience with making the video with Hero the Band was awesome — full of fun and excitement! They truly made me feel like a star! The band members were extremely friendly with such humble and genuine hearts!
The role I played was being a sad moth that turned into a beautiful butterfly, believing in my own self worth. I learned how to unleash my inner creative side as well as getting to know such wonderful guys! Thanks Hero the Band for all the love and support you showed me as an actress! And I thank re:imagine/ATL for giving me the opportunity and the love you displayed as well!
The teens involved in this project at re:Imagine/ATL’s Green Room summer camp were:
Brandon Bell, 14, Homeschooled
Sandro Garcia-Ide, 12, Howard School
LaJarvis Odom, 13
Daniel Martinez, 14, Locust Grove High School
Sebastian Peoples, 13, Woodward Academy
Akayla Thomas, 13, Kipp Strive Academy
