Downtown Decatur is a hidden treasure in the array of teen hangouts in the metro Atlanta area. It’s full of entertainment and a great place to go with a few friends for an afternoon of awesomeness. Last week, I took some of my friends to Decatur, and we explored a few of the best hangout spots in the area. Bonus – it’s super easy to get there on MARTA!

Decatur High School is in downtown Decatur, which means there are tons of new teens to meet and converse with.
There’s a playground! There are plenty of shopping opportunities only a few steps from the train exit.
Decatur is home to a variety of eateries at great prices for any taste.
There are about three ice cream shops surrounding the Square. That means no matter where you are in Decatur, a sweet treat is never too far away.Decatur is easily accessible by MARTA, with the station in the very center of Decatur Square. There are tons of local art shops around Decatur, even a glass blowing studio!
