Free Admission at the High Museum

How do we show our deep and lasting gratitude to the director who, in his twenty-year tenure at the High, has accomplished the following:
- Nearly doubled the number of works in the Museum’s collection
- Partnered globally with museums and organizations to advance scholarship and bring some of the world’s masterpieces to Atlanta
- Spearheaded the Museum’s expansion by internationally recognized architect Renzo Piano
Celebrate the retirement of Director Michael Shapiro in High style!
- 1–4 p.m., Robinson Atrium, Stent Family Wing, ongoing Create a farewell card for Michael Shapiro
- 1–4 p.m., Museum-wide, ongoing Take a self-guided tour of select artworks acquired for the High’s permanent collection during Michael’s tenure. Docents will be stationed near these 10 works to share their insights. Vote for your favorite by leaving a Heart for Art!
- 2–3 p.m., Sifly Piazza Enjoy a live performance by Grammy Award–winning saxophonist Kebbi Williams and his musical “crew of wolves,” the Wolfpack ATL, who won a slot in Creative Loafing’s 2014 Best of Atlanta polls.
Museum admission will be FREE all day, 12 noon to 5 p.m. Programming will take place from 1 to 4 p.m.
