To my amazement, I have discovered Atlanta’s first ever Cupcake ATM attached to the legendary Lenox Square Mall. The Cupcake ATM is sponsored by Sprinkles Bakery, which also sells cookies, ice cream, cake batter, and of course, cupcakes. The inside store has basically two parts. One side only sells a wide variety of cupcakes from strawberry to their delicious black and white cupcake. However, the other side is host to all of their other scrumptious treats.

But let’s get back to this Cupcake ATM. With all my excitement, I discovered the ATM but first, I had questions. One of my specific concerns was, how long were the cupcakes sitting there? So, I asked one of the employees.

“Cupcakes are changed three to four times a day,” says Annadelle Kouassi, a Sprinkles employee. As I continued to ask more questions, I also discovered the Cupcake ATM actually gets more foot action than the inside of the bakery. As a customer, I can definitely say that the experience is more unique.

I mean, how many people can say they’ve been to the Cupcake ATM?

As I continued to speak to employees, Dakar Tate, an employee on the ice cream side of the store gave me more insight into the ATM, letting me know that in fact, it stays open 24 hours. This phenomenon began in Atlanta but is now also in Beverly Hills, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, New York, and Scottsdale. It is also coming soon to Georgetown, Washington D.C.,  Palo Alto, California, and Disney Springs, Florida.

This attraction has not only gotten the attention of everyday people but also celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey and the Cruz family. Soon, the Cupcake ATM will sweep the nation, and everybody will be eating cupcakes from left to right. If you ask me, the phenomenon is amazing and exactly what those of us with a sweet tooth need.
