The Atlanta Hawks have been through a whirlwind of an offseason. With All-Star forward Paul Milsap, Tim Hardaway, Jr. and Dwight Howard leaving, new team captain Dennis Schröder is stepping up to the plate to lead the team this season.
The Hawks have rebuilt and revamped their roster almost fully with a younger and more athletic outlook featuring new players like John Collins, Quinn Cook, Tyler Dorsey and Dwight Dedmon. Head Coach Mike Budenholzer is excited about the team and their players this year.
“I’m just excited about integrating them into our culture, integrating them into our player development , and ultimately how we play as a team,” he recently told reporters.
The new players and coaches from this season met with different media outlets, including VOX ATL during the team’s annual media day. The session provided a lot of insight and expectations for the team and its members. In the event, VOX teens Mack Walker and Chasity Starks were able to ask the team questions, as well as have a little fun while doing so.
