Summer Events For Teens

If you are like me then you don’t like to stay in the house. Especially around the summertime when you know there is stuff do but don’t know when or where it’s happening. To help us both out I came up with this quick list to keep you out, about, and entertained all summer long.


There is a Caribbean workout starting June 7th at the Beltline EVERY THURSDAY from 6:30-7:30 pm for those of you who want to stay fit this summer.

This event has already started but there is also yoga in Woodruff Park in the main yard every Saturday morning from 9-10 am but you have to bring your own yoga mat and bottle of water.

On June 8th-10th there is the Southern Fried Game Room gaming expo that has 250 games, vendors, movies and more.

On June 15th -17th there is Juneteenth festival at Morris Brown College.

The Lakewood Amphitheatre is hosting a hip-hop show on June 16th that usually have celebrity guest performances.


I’m sure you all know that there will be plenty of 4th of July events happening but the best possible for one for teens is the July 4th fireworks event at Six Flags.

On July 6th-7th The Synchronicity Theatre is having a short film fest with different genres to entertain all people, all movies will be under 45 minutes.

On July 14th there will be a field day in the historic Old Fourth Ward Park and to play all you have to do is bring 8 people and sign up and win prizes.

On July 19th-21st there is the Atlanta Underground Film Festival, also at the Synchronicity Theatre.

On July 28th there is an ice cream festival at Piedmont Park with ice cream for sale, vendors, and more.


August 4th there is a soap box derby race that will be held in Old Fourth Ward park where you can compete and win prizes.

Lakewood Amphitheatre is hosting a flashback music festival on August 11th for all the teens with old souls and really love throwback music.

Piedmont Park is having an arts festival with 250 painters, photographers, jewelry and more on August 18th-19th.

On August 25th-26th Grant Park is also having a festival with two music stages, food vendors, and even a 5k run.

I hope that these events will make your summer a little less boring than you thought that it would be.
