French multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer French Kiwi Juice (FKJ) sold out Variety Playhouse in Little Five Points, creating a cinematic experience between him and the audience, intensely visual and evocatively visceral. The crowd swayed with the tides of music, bewitched into oozing hypnosis, captured by the rivers of FKJ’s sophisticated instrumentals, mellowed sound and experimental melodies. The performance itself was fascinating to watch, as FKJ masterfully navigated climbing melodies while shifting from instrument to instrument. He delivered his signature, nuanced, silky, expansive sound, while also leading us on his journey of improvisation. The performance also featured silk screens where visuals that accompanied the set flashed and shifted, overall cultivating a symphony of color and sound and movement. Rich and vibrant, FKJ wove an incredible audio-visual experience crafted by multifaceted creation. To hear more of his music, check out this spotify playlist and his 2019 tour dates.
