Her voice feels each curve of the wall,
Like water forming to any shape,
Light infinitely bouncing off of pupils that look into each other,
Overwhelmed with passion,
Refilling without overdose,
Her voice fills each curve of her body,
Pouring out her pours,
Overwhelmed with passion,
Strings accompany the glide of her melody,
Harmonizing in a soprano’s soar,
Overwhelmed with passion,
How do I hold on to Moon Girl?
I look for Moon Girl yet she finds me,
Her voice fills every space and matter of my body,
Floating high whilst orbiting one another,
A trail shaped as DNA streams from our toes,
Overwhelmed with passion,
Moon Girl’s and my mouths open,
We sing together,
Voices matching into one,
Verses counting,
Choruses repeating without overdose,
The ribbon of passion from our feet holds our note,
Spiraling higher on a soprano’s soar,
A lift comes and Moon Girl’s mouth curves,
Reaching a pitch so high,
In notes of electricity,
Crafting voltage,
Moon Girl’s hand in mine,
Lyric of the soprano’s soar,
The harmonization of respiration,
Overwhelmed with passion,
Light infinitely bouncing off pupils that look into each other,
Thank you for loving me, Moon Girl!
Author’s Note:
Thank you for reading “Moon Girl”. This poem is about having that “non-stop” or “high feeling” when you are doing something you love alongside and in sync with someone else (for instance, singing or acting). I would like to keep the explanation short and allow the poem to present itself.
