VOX Teen Poetry: ‘Mystery Girl’

by share

She wonders what life is like without feeling caged,
wall after wall, after wall. Where can she escape?
She thinks of it as a maze.
But the question is, which path does she take?

To the right. What could there be?
If she goes to find out
she’ll be left feeling guilty.
Her brain is jumbled, so many questions.
So many things she hasn’t seen.

But what’s to the left? She has no clue
The area ahead could lead her to plenty of pretty views.
