Lighting [Poetry]

by share

The grass
Seems
To have
Frozen
Over
At places

Or perhaps

It is a
Trick
Of the
Light

The way
It grazes
Its fingers
To make
It glimmer

Such
A plain
Being
Made
Majestic

Maybe
One day
Another
Shall
Become
My
Light

As how
Could I
Glimmer
So
Solitarily

For my
Solitary
Has made
Me a
Neglected
Relic
Rusting
At the edge

Hoping
For another’s
Blood
To be
Drained

A slit
On the
Thumb

That
Grazed
My life
Unknowingly

Such a
Mistake
Their
Downfall
As they
Seem
To lose
That light
The one
That
Made their
Eyes
So alive

So alive

Alive
Like
How
I wish
To be
Rather
Than
A corpse
Of a
Thing

I mean

Who
Would call
Me
Human
When
I seem
So animalistic
Overtaken
By my
Greed

Such a
Thing
Unbelievable
Compared
To how
The rest
Mask
Theirs
Through
The guise
Of
Money
And
Power

For the
Only
Line
In
The sand
Of what
Time
Has left
Behind
To distinguish
Us
From
Them
Is how
Our
Lust
Isn’t
So

Animal

Of course
They
Are uncivilized
While
We hold
The
Guidelines
For
Civility

Or

I mean
You
Hold
It

For
I am
Closer
To a
Barbarian
Than
You
I am
Closer
To the
Edge
Than
You
I am
Closer
To insanity
Than
You

For what
Is
Sanity
Other
Than
What
You
Wish
To name
It

For you
Shall
Always
Be
Sane

The way
You see
The world
Is the
True
Path

The way
You hear
My words
Shall
Eternally
Be
Gargled

The way
You see
Me
Will
Distort

The water
You
Watch
Pour
Down
To drown
Me

READ  Desire [Poetry]

That is
The barrier
Between
You
And
Me

Though
Of course
You do
Not
Feel
Guilt
For
My misery
Since
It was
Just
So
Hard to
Stop
The trickle

Maybe
That
Is why
Every
Ray
Of light
I try
To grab
Scurries
Away
As my
Begging
Strokes
Disrupt
The water

For I
Shall
Always
Be
The one
Not
Quite
Human

I am
Already
Half
Dead
As I fall
Closer
And
Closer
To the
Fish
