Volunteering at VOX

VOX welcomes adults, 21 and older, who would like to volunteer with teens. Our volunteers work directly with teens and also for teens. Most importantly, VOX works with teen leaders in our community, and we take adult “fit” very seriously. Volunteers should honor VOX’s most important philosophies of:

  • teens first
  • be a “guide on the side,” not a “sage on the stage”
  • finish what you start
  • let the teens be in the driver’s seat; honor youth-driven programming
  • experiential and immersive learning experiences for teens and adults

We look forward to working with you to provide a fruitful, personally tailored volunteer experience. VOX does not provide court-mandated volunteer opportunities.

Corporate volunteer opportunities are available and include drives for in-kind items, hosting a teen at your workplace and more. Contact Allison Hood, Development Director, for more information.

VOX volunteer (and Board member!) Bartram Nason co-facilitates a video production workshop with VOX teen Mikael.

VMC volunteers support teens in editing multimedia packages.
