Prepared and Connected at VOX
In 2015, VOX redesigned its program model to better reflect the needs and desires of teens in Atlanta. At VOX, our motto is “teens first.” VOX categorizes our service to teens through the following program offerings and specialties:
Publishing: Teens publish uncensored content through an editorial process for their teen peers in Atlanta. To receive our FREE print publication for your school or youth-serving organization, please fill out this short form. Teens may contribute their work to VOX to be published at VOXAtl.com via different programmatic initiatives:
- VOX Investigates: Using multimedia tools and production, teens tackle hard-hitting issues affecting their population in metro Atlanta through a unique investigative approach.
- Graduation Countdown: VOX provides graduation support to teens in-house through monthly dinner workshops and through publishing.
- Girls Group: VOX girls group provides a safe space for dialogue and content creation for girls in metro Atlanta. Each year, girls group hosts VOX Girl Code, a publishing extravaganza free for teen girls.
- Atlanta Teen Voices: Through partnerships in our community, VOX will publish teen voices, community contest winners and diverse content created by teens all over metro Atlanta.
VOX Media Cafe: VOX’s multimedia and journalism summer program is for teens ages 13-18 living in metro Atlanta over the summer.
VOX Teen Health Index: Annually,VOX leads and publishes an annual teen survey to help inform the upcoming year’s publishing, marketing and coverage strategies. This survey will be a deep dive on teen consumption of media and information, activity in the digital space and usage of technology.
